Rainforest Animals

Rainforests are the very dense and wet forests. The rainforest is the dwelling place for many of the animals. There are a wide range of animals and plants found in these forests.
These dwellings provide the largest number of species of animals. They belong to the tropical wet climate. The trees found in this region are very tall and responsible for providing the warm climate throughout the year. Many varieties of trees are also found in this region.

You can get details about the rainforest plants and animals by visiting different websites. These websites also provide detailed information about the different species along with their characteristics.
They also provide you a list of all the rainforest animals and different methods used by them for adapting to the rainforest region.

Some species of animals found in this region are well known. However, some of the species existing in these forests are yet to be known. Some of the rain forest animals are Bengal Tigers, Anaconda, King Cobra, Vampire Bat, Chimpanzee and Golden Lion Tamarin.
They have to survive the warm and wet conditions in the forest. These animals have adapted to this climate and cannot survive in any other regions on earth. The largest group of animals existing in this region is insects. The insects found in this region include colonies of ants, camouflages stick insects, colored butterflies, and mosquitoes.

These animals are found in the different parts of the forest. These parts have been classified by the scientists as different zones such as forest floor, understory, canopy and emergent’s. The animals living in this region are also responsible for spreading pollens and seeds throughout the forest region. This process is very beneficial in maintaining the eco system of the rain forest.

However, human intervention is causing severe damage to these regions and many species have entered the stage of being endangered. Hence, we have to take up some remedial measures which would prevent further damage to this region and prevent the animals and plants from being extinct. This can be done by undertaking awareness drives and preventing encroachments to these areas.

Thus, the information about rainforests and the animals found in this region are discussed here. We also discussed some measures for saving the rainforest area from causing severe damage.
